Raducioiu: One Man, Filed in Two Different Rows
BallFact keeps seven rows for Florin Raducioiu, and the strangest thing about them is that they cannot name one best year. The unique summits of overall (84), finishing (90) and goal hunger (93) are all on the 1994 row — a national-team year filed as World Cup. But the unique summits of clutch (86), composure (86) and vision (80) — and the file's only low reading of off-the-ball (84, against 90 in six rows) — are all on 1993/94, the AC Milan season. Our mark column therefore stamps three peaks across seven rows (1989/90 / 1992/93 / 1994), a shape rarely seen in this database. Neither does he own a match ledger: Case 013 records 1994-07-03 Argentina 2-3 Romania with an attendance but no scorers; Case 011 credits Romania's two goals in the 1998-06-22 win over England to Viorel Moldovan 47', Dan Petrescu 90', and he is not among them. Appearances are not filed here, so this page speaks of goals and of ledgers, nothing more.
Page one of the file
Florin Raducioiu, born 1970, a Romanian centre-forward, retired in 2004 by our file's dates. BallFact has filed 7 seasons: two at Dinamo București, two at Brescia (Serie A, then Serie B), one at AC Milan, a 1994 national-team row — and a 2000/01 cell whose club field names two clubs at once.
This file declines the usual move of naming a best year, because it cannot: the feet peak in 1994, the head peaks in 1993/94. Overall (84), finishing (90) and goal hunger (93) top out on the national row; clutch (86), composure (86) and vision (80) top out at AC Milan — and that same Milan cell carries the file's only low off-the-ball reading, 84. Our mark column stamps 3 peaks in seven rows (1989/90 / 1992/93 / 1994). At match level his accounts belong to other files: Case 013 holds 1994-07-03 Argentina 2-3 Romania with an attendance but no scorers, and Case 011 credits Romania's two goals in the 1998-06-22 win over England to Viorel Moldovan 47', Dan Petrescu 90'. Appearances are not filed, so nothing here claims an appearance or a goal total.
Year-by-year attribute matrix · 1989/90—2003/04
★ = a row our file marks as peak (this one has 3). This matrix is editorial derivation (L3), solved from no game database. Heat shading only encodes absolute level (scale 60–99); the outlined cell is the single ≥93 one. The 1994 row is a national-team year, filed on its own per our convention. Appearances, goals and standings are not held here, so the matrix omits and the prose never cites them. That OVR/FIN/HGRL peak uniquely on 1994, that BIG/CMP/VIS peak uniquely on 1993/94, and that OFF is 90 in six rows with its one exception on 1993/94 are machine-checked against the database; if any fails, this page is not allowed to exist.

How to read this table? Look for two sets of "unique". On 1994: OVR 84, FIN 90, HGRL 93. On 1993/94: BIG 86, CMP 86, VIS 80 — and, in that same Milan row, OFF 84, the only reading that is not 90 (90, 90, 84, 90, 90, 90, 90). Then follow durability: 86, 82, 78, 82, 64, 56, 42 — a concession at Milan (78), a second breath at 1994 (82), then 42. The two sets are the same man from two sides: Milan is where our file records what he thought with; 1994 is where it records what that was worth.
Two summits, three peak stamps
Seven rows, seven testimonies
Dinamo București, Romanian first tier — the first row of our ledger: overall 82 at 19. The mark column stamps its first peak here already: from the opening line this file refuses to admit only one summit.
Brescia, Serie A. Overall 83, the highest club row after the summit; goal hunger 91 sits high in its own column. The second peak stamp lands here.
★ AC Milan, Serie A. This row supplies the head: the unique summits of clutch (86), composure (86) and vision (80) all live in this cell — and in the same cell off-the-ball reads 84, the file's only reading that is not 90, with durability at its four-row low (78). Overall 81. Here the ledger splits the man in two.
★ National-team year (league recorded as World Cup). This row supplies the feet: the unique summits of overall (84), finishing (90) and goal hunger (93) share one cell, and durability climbs back to 82 (+4 on Milan). The third peak stamp lands here. For matches our file holds only a scoreline: Case 013 records 1994-07-03 Argentina 2-3 Romania (attendance 90,469) with no scorers.
Brescia, Serie B. Overall 78, 6 under the national row; finishing 74 (−16 from its summit) and durability 64, now starting to fall row by row.
Monaco → Dinamo București: a single cell in which our club field names two clubs (league recorded as Ligue 1 / Divizia A). Overall 78, level with the season before; off-the-ball back to 90 — but no row after it ever reads higher.
Dinamo București, the final row: overall 75, durability 42 the lowest cell in the file (a fall of 44 from 86) at 33. Mark: valley. No further row follows.
Seven things the ledger and the two match files can point at
Dinamo București, Romanian first tier: the file opens at overall 82 — and our mark column drops its first peak on this very row. (BallFact player_seasons / mark)
Brescia, Serie A: overall 83, goal hunger 91. The second peak stamp. (BallFact player_attributes)
AC Milan, Serie A: overall 81; the unique summits of clutch (86), composure (86) and vision (80) sit here, as does the file's only low off-the-ball (84) and its four-row durability floor (78). No peak stamp on this row. (BallFact player_attributes)
★ National-team row (league recorded as World Cup): overall 84, finishing 90 and goal hunger 93 share one cell — the third peak stamp. Our archive holds no scorer list for Romania's knockout match: Case 013 records 1994-07-03 Argentina 2-3 Romania with attendance 90,469 only. (BallFact player_attributes · Case 013 · L1)
Brescia, Serie B: overall 78, 6 under the national row; finishing 74; durability 64 and falling from here. (BallFact player_seasons)
Monaco → Dinamo București: one club cell naming two clubs, league recorded as Ligue 1 / Divizia A. Overall 78. (BallFact player_seasons)
Case 011: Toulouse, Romania 2-1 England; Romania's two goals are credited to Viorel Moldovan 47', Dan Petrescu 90' (the other to England). His name is absent, and since appearances are not filed, the claim is about goals only. (Case 011 · L1)
Why this file refuses a best year

The routine move in a player file is to pick a summit year and treat every other row as its footnote. Raducioiu's file will not take the move: if the summit is 1994, why do clutch, composure and vision peak in 1993/94, at AC Milan? If the summit is 1993/94, why does that same row hold the file's only low off-the-ball reading while the overall and both shooting columns belong to 1994? Our mark column answers plainly: it stamps 3 peaks and offers no explanation. (The marks are L3 editorial annotation, not a competition record; labelled as such here.)
The colder point is that his match accounts are other people's. Of the two published BallFact ledgers that involve Romania, one gives a scoreline and no scorers (1994-07-03 Argentina 2-3 Romania, attendance 90,469); the other gives two named authors for a match four years later (Viorel Moldovan 47', Dan Petrescu 90'). Neither list is his. So the honest construction is to write the absence into the page rather than borrow an un-audited number. One more candour: Case 006 files a 1990 match involving Romania, but its phrasing of that result does not match the convention of our goal-by-goal ledgers and has not been re-audited against an external source — this file neither cites nor relies on it, and the point is recorded as an open item. What stands is what the script confirms cell by cell (three columns peaking on 1994, three on 1993/94, the single OFF low, 3 peaks and one valley, the durability concession and second breath) plus the machine counts out of the two CSVs.
Four files, four shapes, all in our archive: #P00023 (Brolin) breaks on the row after the peak; #P00026 (Kostadinov) peaks at a club season and is written back to his start on the World Cup row; #P00022 / #P00027 (Amokachi, Amuneke) each hold one minute of the Cotton Bowl in Case 013's ledger; this file records one man in two rows. Who scored what in Group D is audited goal-by-goal in Case 014. The entrance to all of it is the "America 1994" focus page.
Note: club/league assignments, per-season attributes and the mark annotations come from the BallFact database (attributes and marks L3 editorial derivation); the 1994-07-03 scoreline/attendance and the 1998-06-22 scoreline and scorer credits are taken from the published Case 013 and Case 011 and their public CSVs, and every figure of that origin is counted out of those files by this script, not typed. Appearances, goals and standings are not filed, so no appearance is asserted and no negative claim ("he did not play") is made either. Case 006's 1990 entry about Romania is not cited here: its phrasing conflicts with our ledger convention and has not been externally re-audited. Honours, World Cup goal tallies and national-team cap totals absent from BallFact-audited cases are neither used nor cited.
A ledger need not pick a summit year; sometimes it files a man in two rows.
